Republican Representative Michele Bachmann is making headlines again after her appearance on the December 3rd airing of a Fox News segment. In the segment she declared her intent to apparently sue President Obama for violating the constitution.
The President has recently received public backlash after the launching of his Affordable Care Act website, healthcare.gov, has turned into a quagmire of technical issues. Because of these technical issues the President has been forced to delay certain elements of the new health care law from going into effect.
At the onset of the Affordable Care Act Bachmann was in the news for claiming that the law was unconstitutional. The case was brought to court where the judges therein declared the ACA as constitutional. Now Bachmann is claiming that the delay of implementation of the ACA is unconstitutional. Bachmann states, “You can’t unilaterally make this decision (to delay certain policies from going into effect), Congress is part of the government.”
Bachmann then condemned the President for being overzealous, “You’re not a king, you’re not a dictator, you can’t do whatever you want,”. The congresswoman finished her segment by suggesting that the Republicans in Congress are considering litigation to stop the President.
